Doing Service

Mick has been faithfully praying that we as a family could have service opportunities come our way and in the last 3 weeks they have come in ways we never thought. Cleaning, Fixing, and just being kind to others. Here is one example where we were all part of the service with an additional person Keating. Oh, I just realized two services in one night that is awesome! Mick was the CEO of this project, the fixing one.

The story of my quilting

Its been almost 10 years since I started sewing. The first 3 years I was a machine pumping out a mass amount of quilts but in the last 7 I fell off the earth and have forgotten how to use my sewing machine, not really but I have not produced a pieced quilt in years. I was inspired by a friend of mine by her having a baby so this is the end product. I think its pretty good since there are techniques I have never tried before and like I said its the first in seven years. I have forgotten how to quilt. Remember the scripture about the talents it is true don't bury your talents or they will be taken. It was a struggle to get through this quilt but made me realize that I can be a better sewer if I practice and use my talents. Don't look too close I had many flaws but hoping to get much better as time goes by.

Ty's 2nd B-Ball Game vs Bruins

This is the last seconds of Ty's game against the Bruins, one of the toughest teams in the league, which they won by one point, 28 - 27. Ty scored about 14 points, had several rebounds, 2-3 steals and had an overall great game. The boys were very excited to win this one because last week the Bruins beat their opponent by 38 points. Ty is number 44, Enjoy!

Echo's 3rd B-Ball Game vs Irondale

This is a little taste of Echo's third basketball game against Irondale. She plays with a lot of enthusiasm and energy and her, and her team's, skills are improving each week. Unfortunately, they were not able to pull out the win but they have been learning and enjoying the game. Echo is number 24, Enjoy!

Are you sure you want Turkey?

Look at these cute turkeys.
Are you sure you want to eat them?
Well, I suppose these are a little small to eat for this Thanksgiving but maybe next year.

The boys loved spending time with the girls at the apple orchard as you can see. The hay bail was a hit; king of the hill. I believe Siah was the winner.

Yes, we have a push cart team

The three of them made a push cart from junk they collected from the dumpsters. Yes, they did dumpster dive a couple of times to find the parts they needed but they had a lot of fun doing it.

Caution: Graphic Content

These are live shots of Echo getting seven staples in her head to close up the large head wound she received when head butting a fire extinguisher box. So, here are the details. I am in the bathroom, when there are several loud screams from downstairs. I am not a person to get worried over a few screams but this time they sounded different. I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen and there is Echo bent over with blood all over the place. You know how those head wounds bleed. I think what really got her was when she bent over and the blood ran down through her hair and all over her face, until then she was taking it like a trooper. The visit to the hospital was great, as great as an emergency room visit can be, and hats off to the emergency room staff at Fairview University of Minnesota Hospitals. They were professional, competent and very kind to a scared young girl. Thank you.

Echo visits the Minnesota Zoo

This picture of Echo at the Minnesota Zoo is one of Mom and Dad's favorites! What a beautiful girl!

Suzuki was a winner at the Minneapolis Auto Show!

Mick went with Siah, Ty and Echo to the Minneapolis Auto Show. This Suzuki prototype was one of our favorite vehicles.

Brief Update on Society Members Activities

Siah is playing basketball this year. His team is 11-2 with their biggest challenge tonight, they are playing a team that is undefeated for the last three seasons. Mac and Siah feel they can break the winning streak.

Ty had his orchestra concert last night, he is the only dancing bassist in the bunch. Ty loves the music!

Echo finished the basketball season with a 7-1 record. She has decided that basketball is better than gymnastics and will play again next year.
